Week 12 – Friday 24th November 2017

 Hello Everyone!

What a brilliant showbiz week we have had with our school production of Sister Act: A Divine Musical Comedy. I was so proud of every pupil on the stage – they were oozing with talent and belted out each song and dance routine with so much confidence!. The Cast were an absolute credit to themselves, their families and the College. Of course the countless hours of preparation, organisation, rehearsals, final checks and commitment from the staff have not gone unnoticed. From designing and building the Church setting to choreography, from costumes to stage management, musical theatre to beautiful choral harmonies and musical arrangements, the staff have had a major role to play – TEAM work at its best!. A huge thanks to all staff regardless of your role, and sincere appreciation for your time and commitment in creating a first class production.

School life continued as normal for everyone else with E-Safety Awareness Seminars delivered to Years 11 & 12 and the Enterprise Club selling ‘smoothies’ as part of their Business Class.

Sport was the other key factor this week with quite a number of successes.  Year 12 Netball girls achieved 1st place in the EA-SE Cross Community Tournament and Faolan Devlin in Year 8 became the 2017 Fifa Champion. Our Handball Team consisting of Aidan Mc Aleer, Shea Lawn, Cain Matchett and Callan Devlin won the Ulster U-15 Handball Title.  The Year 12 Team have made it into the Final of the Rafferty Cup after scoring the last kick of the game in extra time and the MacLarnon Team are also through to the Quarter Finals in February.  Great success all around for the Teams and their coaches – well done everyone!.

Don’t forget, Christmas exams begin Monday 4th December so download the revision guides from the website, study hard and be proud of your success.

Have a great weekend
